Energetics

Many healing qualities

Mother's love and strength
Motherwort supports us like a tough but loving mother, comforting us through stress and tension while strengthening our hearts to navigate difficult situations.
Working on both the physical and emotional aspects of the heart, her fierce and bitter nature shocks our nervous systems back into place and helps us stabilize our energy. She relieves anxiety, calms stress-induced heart palpitations, and lifts the heart from any pain or sadness.
Motherwort fortifies our hearts and fills it with courage and serenity, reminding us that we all have lion’s courage to boldly move forward in our own light and face and overcome challenges.

Aids in digestion
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, hawthorn is primarily used for digestion, especially greasy, fatty foods and animal protein. The berries help relieve indigestion and heartburn.
Hawthorn also has been shown to reduce atherosclerosis, which is a build-up of plaque made of cholesterol, fat, and other substances within the arteries. Its ability to digest fats most likely contributes to its ability to remove plaque and fat build-up within the arteries, thereby clearing circulatory pathways.
